Message from the Executive Director
Rosemary Q. Steele

We would like to give some updates on the scheduled initiatives as the second quarter of the year approaches.

The THA is pleased to announce that starting in April, new HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems will be installed. The start of installation at your unit will be communicated to you in advance. It is your responsibility to ensure that your HVAC closet is clear of obstructions.

The installation of closet doors in the Trinity East neighborhood will start on March 3rd. You will receive notifications. Please ensure that everything is out of closets and that areas are accessible.

Beginning this month, new roofs will be installed for the residents of Liberty Arms. When the contractor begins work on your building, you will be notified. Please be aware that there may be noise during this process.

Furthermore, this month will see the start of the charred building at 301 James Avenue's demolition. There will be more dust and noise in the region while the demolition is underway. To lessen the effect in the community, contractors will take all required safety measures.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time.

Appropriate Dress

Residents are expected to dress appropriately. Dressing in exposed garments, sleepwear, housecoats or provocative or revealing clothing is not appropriate.

If a Thomasville Housing Authority (THA) maintenance employee is uncomfortable with the dress attire of the resident or their guest, or if a resident is acting inappropriately, the THA employee will immediately leave the unit. The THA employee will not enter the unit of an inappropriately dressed resident.

THA staff will not enter a unit where a child is home alone or a resident or guest inappropriately dressed, unless there is an emergency. Even in emergencies, if possible, another employee will be present as a witness and request the resident to dress appropriately before entering their unit.

All residents must be fully clothed
(minimally a shirt/blouse and pants/shorts/skirt) when conducting business with the THA which includes visits at the main office.

Residents and guests will be asked to leave the office if they show up without appropriate attire.

Appropriate dress is required by residents and visitors visiting the main office.
